The second episode in the newly premiered South Park Season 27 has been reportedly delayed following the show’s controversial season opening episode’s portrayal of President Trump, according to The Daily Beast. An encore of the first episode will run on Comedy Central during its Wednesday slot; the next episode will debut August 6.

While sources say the suspicious hiatus was “pre-planned,” it was not previously advertised in the season’s promotional material.

A recent statement from a White House representative labeled the adult animated series “fourth-rate,” and that the premiere episode mocking Trump was a “desperate attempt for attention.” However, no legal action seems to have been taken - yet.
