Submissions are now open for the 24th Annual VES Awards through October 31, 2025 for projects released between January 1 and December 31, 2025. This year, Work to be Considered and Before & After video material can be uploaded immediately. The awards gala is set for February 25, 2026.

Entries will be accepted until October 31st, 2025 for eligible Film, Television, Animation, Special Venue, Games, VR and New Media projects created between January 1 and December 31, 2025. For entries in the Student Awards category, projects must be completed during the October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025 eligibility window.  

The VES shared the following notes regarding submissions:

In your Before & Afters footage, make sure that you only present video material that is contextual to the Work To Be Considered. And if you are uploading Supplemental Material, remember to include your Entry Number in the PDF.  You can find more helpful and technical info about preparing your Before & Afters by going to the "What Should Be Uploaded?" section of your entry's category in the Rules & Procedures.

We urge you to prepare and make arrangements for addressing any technical issues that could be discovered by the Awards Committee. You will have to resolve these in a timely manner.

If your category has a significant amount of special (practical) effects that contribute significantly to the overall VFX, you must consider the SPX Coordinator/Supervisor and use the 5th entrant slot. This 5th slot is exclusively for the SPX Coordinator / Supervisor only!  

Do the editing for your VES Awards submissions as soon as possible. Extensions cannot be granted for late entries due to the unavailability of personnel or material.
