The creator behind children's TV favorite ULTRAMAN has one two of three court battles over rights to the series against a Thai businessman, VARIETY reports.

Tsuburaya Productions has won rights disputes with Sompote Saengduenchai in courts in Thailand and China. However, Sompote prevailed in a similar case in Japan.

Merchandising, broadcasting and other rights outside of Japan are at stake.
