You have to take a look at this fantastic VFX work on James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 just shared with AWN and VFXWorld! Sony Pictures Imageworks VFX supervisor, Theo Bialek, and his team were tasked with building the planet-sized organic structure known as the Orgoscope... quite the task if you ask me!

In this VFX breakdown, Bialek discusses their work on this complex environment. I think it's safe to say... there's a whole lot of polygons going on! Bialek, along with Stephane Ceretti, Alexis Wajsbrot, and Guy Williams, have been nominated for a Best Visual Effects Oscar for their work on the film! And a BAFTA!
