The Maui Film Festival

Begins: May 31, 2000

The Maui Film Festival highlights life-affirming and compassionate features, shorts, documentaries animation and screenplays. Festival venues include under-the-stars Celestial Cinema, the 1,200 seat state-of-the-art Castle Theater and the oceanside open-air SandDance Theater. Special events will include Silversword Lifetime Achievement Award, filmmakers panels, Spirit of Aloha Audience Awards, a midnight VIP cruise, Taste of Wailea and opening/closing galas.

First Bristol Animated Encounters

Begins: May 19, 2000

A weekend of animation is coming to Bristol and the home town toon house Aardman Animations' will open the first Bristol Animated Encounters with a sneak peak of the animated feature film, CHICKEN RUN. Animated Encounters is supported by DreamWorks SKG, Torribles, Aardman Animations, WESTEC, BBC Bristol, Bristol City Council, Bristol Tourism and Conference Bureau, A for Animation and Farrington Lewis.

Animation Events

Outer Limits

Begins: May 16, 2000

The New York Animation Festival, in collaboration with Video Lounge, presents Outer Limits, an international series of short animation, experimental, narrative and documentary film and video. Outer Limits will present a vast array of independent and innovative work from more than a dozen countries. An international program featuring animated films by Amy Kravitz (ROOST AND THE TRAP), Dana Behrman (PIGLATIN), Avi Katz (LAST WALTZ IN NEW YORK) and Sylvie Bringas and Orly Yadim (SILENCE) will be held on May 16 at 7:30 pm and May 18 at 9:30 pm.

VIRTUALITY 2004

Begins: November 30, 1999

Virtuality is an established appointment for professionals and fans alike, offering the unique point of view of internationally renown people whose contribution to the field of CGI, visual effects and virtual reality has proven decisive. For 2004 edition Virtuality will also host the Award for Miss Digital World and a night of screenings (the Digital Delirium).
