Academy members will vote to determine five nominees for best animated feature film award at the 99th Oscars; films also qualify for other categories including best picture.
The event will showcase a hybrid program of animated nostalgia, cult classics, and new projects; takes place in-person May 17–18 and online May 17 – June 1.
Gintz Zilbalodis' feature takes home the Grand Prize, while Adam Eliot's takes the Special Jury Prize along with the Audience Award in a tie with ‘The Colors Within;’ in shorts, ‘Wander to Wonder’ won the Grand Prize and ‘A Crab in the Pool’ earned the Special Jury Prize.
The Ottawa Animation Festival releases its official list of feature films in competition that includes Annecy 2024 Cristal Award winner ‘Memoir of a Snail,’ Jury Award winner ‘Flow,’ and the Contrechamp Grand Prix winner ‘El sueño de la Sultana;’ the event runs September 25-29.
