Art Institute of California - San Francisco's Animation Festival

The Art Institute of California - San Francisco is proud to announce the first annual Animation Festival. Hosted by students and faculty of the school's Media Arts & Animation department, the festival will be held from 3:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Herbst Theater located at 401 Van Ness in San Francisco, California. The festival will feature independent student animated productions in a variety of genres, including 2D animation, 3D animation, motion graphics, stop-motion animation and mixed media.

The Animation Festival is open to the general public and there is no admission charge. A partial list of animated shorts that are scheduled for the festival include: SCOURGE OF THE VAMPIRE; INSIDE 3D; THE TEDDY PROJECT; LOVE LETTERS; THE INVITATION; TEACHER'S PET; PAPER EARTH; SAVING THE WORL;, ONE LIGHTBULB AT A TIM; GLOBAL WARMING COMES TO THE BREAKFAST TABLE; FIGHT GLOBAL WARMING; and WINTER IN NEW HAMPSHIRE among others. Still shots from the animated shorts will be available for public viewing prior to the Festival in The Art Institute of California - San Francisco Gallery located at 1170 Market Street.
