Inspired by the Winans family history, the series reimagines one of gospel music’s most celebrated legacies through the eyes of 11-year-old boys Asher and Isaiah Winans.
5-0 Studios London has announced Scroll of the Winans: A Journey with Asher and Isaiah, an animated series adapted from the forthcoming Winans family film series Thankful, which is now in development. The series reimagines one of gospel music’s most celebrated legacies through the eyes of 11-year-old boys Asher and Isaiah Winans.
According to 5-0 Studios London, in the show, when Asher (the Angel) meets 11-year-old Isaiah Winans, they journey through generations of the Winans bloodline, witnessing miraculous moments of survival, faith, sacrifice, and obedience that shaped a name destined to change the sound of gospel music forever. As Scripture comes alive and scrolls glow with every act of surrender, the boys uncover a greater truth: this was never about fame — it was about a covenant.
Melanie Greene and 5-0 Studios London executive produce alongside Thankful executive producer Michael Winans Sr.
The project has also inspired the 12-book companion series “Isaiah – Walking with the Winans.”
