Watch the making-of from the anime adaptation of the manga by Mokumokuren, which follows a boy who experiences strange incidents with an entity impersonating his best friend; now streaming on Netflix.
CyberAgent has revealed a new story visual for The Summer Hikaru Died, as well as the first episode of a behind-the-scenes documentary series that focuses on the making of the project.
The anime horror series, adapted from the manga by Mokumokuran, follows the high school student Yoshiki, who experiences strange incidents with Hikaru, a mysterious being who imitates his best friend, Hikaru Indou.
The new story visual shows Yoshiki, Hikaru, and friends as they walk home in the twilight — a haunting image that hints at what’s to come. The first episode of the BTS series, themed around horror, dives deep into the chilling side of the production and features exclusive interviews with director Ryohei Takeshita and key staff, plus never-before-seen production materials.
The co-production is from CyberAgent and KADOKAWA. Animation production is by CygamesPictures. Masanobu Hiraoka animates for DORODORO. Yuichi Takahashi is the chief animation director. 2D design is by Yusuke Nagara and Yuri Tsue.
