Guru Studio Expands ‘True and the Rainbow Kingdom’ with Mindfulness-Focused Shorts

The all-new slate of videos has begun streaming on YouTube and YouTube Kids for Mental Health Awareness Month, introducing guided breathing, ASMR relaxation, and interactive storytelling for preschool audiences.

Guru Studio is expanding its hit preschool franchise, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, with the launch of new original shorts created specifically for YouTube and YouTube Kids, rolling out throughout May to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month.

Part of the company’s new True & You series, the collection introduces mindfulness-focused content designed to support emotional wellness for children and families. The shorts include guided breathing exercises and ASMR-style relaxation videos that demonstrate simple everyday mindfulness practices with calming audio and gentle pacing that encourages viewer participation.

“More than ever, kids need a break,” said Frank Falcone, Guru Studio President and Executive Creative Director. “Families want purposeful screen time. This collection of videos features kids’ favorite characters guiding them toward mindful everyday practices.”

The May debut marks the beginning of a broader rollout for True & You, which will expand later this summer with additional formats including “Mini-Rescues” highlighting True’s problem-solving abilities in “bite-sized” adventures, as well as “Bartleby Bites” slapstick content and back-to-school themed videos.

With more than 5 billion YouTube views, True and the Rainbow Kingdom continues to expand a top global preschool brand. Supported by Ontario Creates, the True & You initiative reflects Guru Studio’s ongoing commitment to multi-platform content that promotes positive emotional development. The first wave of content is launching this month on YouTube and YouTube Kids, with additional releases planned throughout 2026.

Guru Studio, based in Toronto, has produced a range of popular children’s properties including the hugely successful PAW Patrol, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Mecha Builders, Pikwik Pack, Ever After High and Justin Time. The company recently completed My Magic Pet Morphle for Moonbug Entertainment and Disney+, and the miniseries Charlotte’s Web for Sesame Workshop and HBO Max, and contributed visual development to the Academy Award-nominated film The Breadwinner.
