Guru Studio Signs Wave of New Deals

The Toronto-based animation company builds upon its YouTube streaming success as it expands across Hispanic markets, aviation entertainment and global library streaming platforms.

Guru Studio has just announced a new set of content deals expanding the company’s distribution footprint across broadcast, streaming and in-flight entertainment platforms.

The preschool series True and the Rainbow Kingdom will continue its expansion across U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets through a new agreement with HITN, a Spanish-language educational media network reaching more than 35 million Spanish-speaking households in the U.S. The series will also air on Edye, HITN’s preschool SVOD service serving U.S. Hispanic, Latin American and Brazilian preschool audiences.

On YouTube, the show has generated 1.4 billion views in Latin American Spanish and nearly 600 million views in Brazilian Portuguese. The series was recently acquired by Knowledge Network in Western Canada and renewed nationally by CBC, SRC and Star Channel in Greece.

Guru also announced a new content agreement with Anuvu, a provider of connected solutions and entertainment services to the aviation industry. Under the agreement, Big Blue (52 x 11 min) and 123 Number Squad (104 x 11 min) will be available through Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment offering.

Streaming platform Kanopy has acquired 123 Number Squad and Big Blue, making both series available through libraries and educational institutions worldwide.

“Guru’s slate of shows continues to resonate with kids and families across the globe,” said Sebastien Dumond, Sales and Business Development Manager at Guru Studio. “These new partnerships allow us to reach millions of additional viewers across the U.S., Latin America, and beyond, while meeting audiences wherever they choose to watch.”

With more than 5 billion YouTube views to date, True and the Rainbow Kingdom has grown into a global preschool franchise. In 2025, the series ranked among Netflix’s Top 10 Kids Titles globally by total views. Guru Studio is now expanding the brand with True & You, a slate of original short-form content designed for discovery across YouTube, streaming platforms and broadcast.

Guru Studio is the animation company behind a range of children’s properties including PAW Patrol, Sesame’s Mecha Builders, True and the Rainbow Kingdom, Pikwik Pack, Big Blue, and the Charlotte’s Web miniseries on HBO Max.

Founded more than 25 years ago, the Toronto-based studio develops and produces animated content for global audiences. The company recently completed production on My Magic Pet Morphle for Moonbug Entertainment and Disney+. Guru Studio also contributed visual development to the Academy Award-nominated animated feature The Breadwinner. The company is led by President and Executive Creative Director Frank Falcone.
