Jonathan Joss, the longtime voice of John Redcorn on the Fox hit series King of the Hill, was reportedly shot and killed this past Saturday in San Antonio, according to Variety. The actor was found in front of a house, where attempts to save him were unsuccessful. TMZ reports that he was shot by a neighbor after a dispute

The actor, who voiced the Redcorn character from seasons 2-13, had already voiced lines for the show’s upcoming revival on Hulu that’s scheduled to premiere August 4. The show, created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, ran from 1997 to 2009.

The character of John Redcorn was a “Licensed New Aged Healer” who was Dale Gribble’s wife’s Nancy Gribble’s longtime masseuse, former lover, and father to Joseph Gribble and Kate. Johnny Hardwick, who play Dale Gribble on the show, passed away in 2023.

The actor also worked on numerous TV shows like The League, Tulsa Kings, Ray Donovan and Parks and Recreation.
