Thor, Loki and Odin join the hit animated preschool series; L.A. Dodger star Mookie Betts and Alan Ruck added to the guest voice cast in new episodes that premiere on Disney Jr., the next day on Disney+.
Thor, Loki and Odin will appear in new episodes of Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends, which premiere Thursday, June 11 on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, with 11 episodes available to stream June 12 on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets.
The hit animated preschool series launches a Giant-Sized Armor story arc, in which the Iron Friends take on bigger challenges and encounter a new lineup of heroes and villains, including Thor, Loki and Odin.
Dodgers star Mookie Betts has joined the guest voice cast as Dizzy Doubleday, a baseball player who enjoys helping young kids learn the game. He joins previously announced guest star ESPN sportscaster and analyst Jessica Mendoza, who voices Dottie Doubleday, Dizzy’s sister and the owner of the local batting cage. Alan Ruck voices Odin, the mighty and kind ruler of Asgard.
Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends follows the adventures and misadventures of best friends and super geniuses Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho as they work together to solve problems, both big and small, and protect their city.
The show stars Mason Blomberg and Lincoln Bonilla as Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man; Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart; Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho, also known as Iron Hulk; Tony Hale as Ultron; Vanessa Bayer as Swarm; and Talon Warburton as Absorbing Man.
From Disney Branded Television, the series is executive produced by Sean Coyle and Harrison Wilcox. James Eason-Garcia is co-executive producer and story editor, Alex Cichon is supervising producer, Ashley Rideout is producer, and Michael Dowding is supervising director. Matthew Margeson is the series’ composer. Grammy Award-nominated musician Mark Hoppus wrote and performed the series theme song, “Totally Awesome.” The series is produced by Disney Jr. and “Marvel” Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons.
