To celebrate the 65th Anniversary of ‘The Yogi Bear Show,’ the network will air episodes of the show on February 22 along with the 1964 feature, ‘Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear.’

MeTV Toons will mark the 65th anniversary of The Yogi Bear Show with ‘Yogi’s 65th Anniversary Pic-a-nic,’ an all-day marathon airing Sunday, February 22, beginning at 6am ET/PT. The all-day celebration will feature episodes of The Yogi Bear Show alongside related series and the 1964 theatrical feature, Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear.
Created by Hanna-Barbera, Yogi Bear made his television debut in 1958 on The Huckleberry Hound Show before receiving his own series, The Yogi Bear Show, in January 1961. The cartoons are set primarily in the fictional Jellystone Park, where Yogi and his companion Boo-Boo Bear attempt to take picnic baskets from campers, drawing the attention of Park Ranger Smith. Yogi’s catchphrase is on one of animation’s best: “Smarter than the av-er-age bear!” Which most often, he is not.
