Moonbug Debuts 'Little Angel' Spin-Off 'Emmie’s Wonder Wardrobe'

Launching today on YouTube, the new animated preschool series features a spirited 5-year-old with a wardrobe of costumes that inspires imaginative play, creativity, and self-expression.

Moonbug Entertainment has just launched its animated preschool series Emmie’s Wonder Wardrobe on YouTube today, a new spin-off of its hugely popular Little Angel series.

The show follows Emmie, a spirited five-year-old whose wardrobe of costumes and colors becomes a tool for imaginative play and emotional exploration. Whether she’s twirling in a princess gown or mixing and matching an outfit to match her mood, Emmie uses dress-up to explore who she is and how she feels. Through dress-up scenarios, original pop songs, and stylized storytelling, the show centers on creativity, identity, and self-expression for young audiences.

Emmie, previously introduced as Baby John’s older sister in Little Angel, became a fan-favorite character, with Moonbug citing strong audience response to Emmie-focused episodes, including the viral “Mermaid Song,” as a driver behind the spin-off. The new series is positioned for older preschool viewers ready to explore music beyond traditional nursery rhyme formats.

"With Emmie, we wanted to create a role model for little ones who is creative, passionate, confident, and isn't afraid to help others shine in the spotlight too," said Scarlett Barry, Creative Executive at Moonbug Entertainment. "Little Angel has always championed spirited self-expression, and Emmie's Wonder Wardrobe is a natural and sparkly extension of that vital part of early years development."

The production integrates early childhood learning principles, with consultants contributing to the show’s design to reflect how children learn through repetition, play, and everyday experiences. The series builds on Little Angel’s established approach of combining music with relatable, every day early childhood moments.

"We've watched Little Angel grow into a truly global phenomenon, with massive viewership on YouTube and Netflix and incredible momentum following our launch on Disney+ last year," said Alex Tarzy, Little Angel General Manager at Moonbug Entertainment. "We were inspired to create Emmie’s Wonder Wardrobe because of the love Little Angel fans shared for the character, and are so excited for their reaction to this new spin-off that puts her center stage."

Little Angel, acquired by Moonbug Entertainment in 2022, has grown into one of the most-watched preschool brands globally, reaching over 150 million YouTube subscribers and generating approximately 1.4 billion monthly views across 25 languages. The series is also distributed across platforms including Amazon, Disney+, Netflix, and YouTube.

Moonbug Entertainment, part of Candle Media, produces and distributes children’s content including CoComelon and Blippi, with programming available on more than 150 video platforms worldwide alongside a broad presence in music, consumer products, and live events.
