Netflix and Skydance Animation Drop ‘Swapped’ Trailer

Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple star in the 3DCG buddy comedy about a woodland creature and majestic bird who unexpectedly swap bodies; directed by Nathan Greno, it streams May 1.

Netflix and Skydance Animation just released the Official Trailer for their upcoming 3DCG feature Swapped, which stars Michael B. Jordan, Juno Temple, Tracy Morgan, and Cedric the Entertainer. The comedy adventure premieres on May 1. You can enjoy the trailer and some new images below.

The film, previously known as Pookoo, is a buddy comedy about a small woodland creature, voiced by Jordan, and a majestic bird, voiced by Temple, who unexpectedly swap bodies. Natural enemies in their environment known as The Valley, the two must work together while navigating life in each other’s bodies to survive a series of adventures.

Swapped is a body-swap movie unlike anything audiences have seen before,” said director Nathan Greno. “In this world, the creatures of the valley exist on a spectrum between plant and animal, creating a wild ecosystem. At the center of the film is the smallest creature in the valley, voiced by Michael B. Jordan, who suddenly finds himself swapped into a completely different body and thrust into a massive, unpredictable world that turns his entire life upside down and forces him to experience life from a completely different perspective.”

Greno, known for directing Tangled, helms the film from a screenplay by John Whittington, Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow. The story is by Whittington, Adam Karp, Magalhaes, Snow and Greno.

Producers are John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews for Skydance Animation. The score is by Siddhartha Khosla.
