Prime Focus Studios has unveiled the trailer for Ramayana, a two-part feature which follows a battle between good and evil.
Set 5,000 years in the past, Namit Malhotra’s two-part live-action cinematic universe follows an unlikely demon child who transforms into Ravana, the most feared and indestructible king in all creation. To stop him, Vishnu descends to Earth in his weakest form: a mortal prince named Rama. The eternal battle Rama vs. Ravana begins.
Nitesh Tiwari directs. Leading the cast are Indian cinema icons Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey. The film’s score is created in a collaboration between Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

Prime Focus Studios and DNEG produce, in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film will utilize both VFX and AI elements.
Ramayana is being filmed for IMAX and will release worldwide: Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
