FIAF presents the seventh edition of its annual festival dedicated to showcasing the enduring legacy of and innovation of French and Francophone animation, January 23 – January 28.
FIAF’s event will be held in-person February 11-13, followed by an online edition from February 14-21; highlights include film premieres, a glimpse at highly anticipated works in progress as well as panels with leading animators.
February 5 opening night will feature the Annecy Crystal winning film’s US premiere; the festival will also feature two recently announced special programs highlighting animation from Africa.
Program highlights include US and New York premieres of 69 feature length and short films; animated selections by special guest Wes Anderson; a tribute to French animator Paul Grimault; and shorts program including the best of Annecy International Film Festival; and an inaugural student short film competition.
