Director Nayelli Ojeda discusses her unique approach to stop-motion filmmaking that blends the fundamental idea behind much of Japan’s art with Mexican culture and Oaxacan clay pottery techniques used on puppets and replacement parts; her directorial debut premieres today at the Manchester Film Festival.
Mexican director Nayelli Ojeda’s film will debut at the BAFTA-qualifying event, which runs March 19-29, and take part in the Short Film Corner | Rendez-vous Industry at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

A free program of 55 pieces, selected by the Tribeca Film Festival, Veer VR and Positron, including 23 in the Development Showcase, will be open to VR users through the Museum of Other Realities.
