Based on and inspired by the sci-fi works ‘Moxon's Master,’ ‘The Ablest Man in the World,’ and ‘A Martian Odyssey,’ the series explores concepts of artificial intelligence, cybernetics, and alien life.
Bejuba! Entertainment has just picked up The Cloaked Realm, an animated hybrid anthology series based on and inspired by the public domain sci-fi works “Moxon's Master,” “The Ablest Man in the World,” and “A Martian Odyssey.” The short stories explore the concepts of artificial intelligence, cybernetics, and of aliens as relatable beings with personalities and quirks.
The series weaves together three stories that take audiences through a journey of 200 years. Beginning in London in 1859, The Cloaked Realm centers on Athena, who discovers that her mentor, the cryptic Professor Moxon, is tampering with powerful and dangerous AI. From London, the series ventures to the heart of Europe in 1859 where luck-laden gambler Mr. Fisher stumbles his way into the greatest secret on earth. Speeding through time, Dr. Richard Jarvis reaches Mars in the late 21st Century and discovers alien artifacts of inconceivable power.
While on the festival circuit, the completely self-financed The Cloaked Realm has garnered over 100 awards. It is co-directed, produced, and written by Marisa Cohen and Peter Issac Alexander.
