The exec will now oversee the development of ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,’ the sports comedy ‘GOAT,’ and fantasy musical ‘Kpop: Demon Hunters’ alongside president Kristine Belson.
Damien de Froberville has been appointed president of Sony Pictures Animation alongside Kristine Belson, and will oversee the development of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the sports comedy GOAT, and fantasy musical Kpop: Demon Hunters.
“I am thrilled to announce that Damien de Froberville has been promoted to serve alongside me as President of Sony Pictures Animation,” said Belson. “This new title and structure recognize the significant responsibilities he has already undertaken and the vital role he has played at our studio. Since his arrival, Damien and I have worked in tandem to guide the studio’s strategic direction, drive its continued growth, and oversee all aspects of development and production across our animation slate.”
De Froberville previously served as executive VP of production and operating strategy. Before his time at Sony, he held roles at Paramount, DreamWorks Animation, Netflix, and Sergio Pablos Animation.
