Coming to theaters in February 2027, the next installment in the fan-favorite ‘Ice Age’ franchise blasts Manny, Diego, Sid, Buck, Ellie, Scrat and the herd into a dinosaur-and-lava-filled Lost World adventure.
You had me at Scrat! Disney has just released a teaser trailer, poster, and images for Ice Age: Boiling Point, the next installment in the fan-favorite Ice Age franchise that debuted way back in March 2002. The sixth wooly film hits theaters February 5, 2027. We cannot wait!
The “explosive” teaser shows beloved characters Manny, voiced by Ray Romano; Diego, voiced by Denis Leary; Sid, voiced by John Leguizamo; Buck, voiced by Simon Pegg; and Ellie, voiced by Queen Latifah, along with acorn-obsessed Scrat, Crash, Eddie and Baby Scrat, as they blast out of a volcano and into a dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World.
Ice Age: Boiling Point is directed by John Donkin and produced by Lori Forte. Donkin previously directed The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, while Forte’s producing credits include Ice Age and Ice Age: Collision Course.
Production for Ice Age 6 was officially announced by Disney and 20th Century Animation during D23 Brazil in 2024. The upcoming film will be the first to release in theaters under Disney’s ownership following its 2019 purchase of 21st Century Fox film and TV assets and the subsequent shutdown of Blue Sky Studios in 2021.
