Finn and Jake Return this June in ‘Adventure Time: Side Quests’

Cartoon Network has announced U.S. and international premiere dates for its new animated ‘Adventure Time’ companion series that follows the intrepid pair on standalone adventures across the land of Ooo.

Cartoon Network has announced that the new animated series, Adventure Time: Side Quests, will premiere in the United States on Hulu on June 29, releasing internationally on the network and HBO Max on October 5.

Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the companion series to the Emmy, Peabody, and Annie Award-winning Adventure Time follows young hero Finn and his magical dog best friend Jake as they embark on adventures across the fantastical land of Ooo, partying with cloud people and punching evil in the butt along the way.

Adventure Time: Side Quests builds on the original series’ early seasons with lighter, self-contained adventures designed to introduce a new generation of fans to the land of Ooo while giving existing fans more of what they love. The series centers on standalone, silly quests and playful challenges, celebrating the joyful chaos of Finn and Jake’s adventures.

Nate Cash serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Darrick Bachman as story editor. Victor Courtright and Niki Yang direct, Nick Cross is art director, and Matthew Janszen is composer.

Finn the Human is voiced by Sasha Knight, and John DiMaggio returns as the voice of Jake the Dog. The series also reunites fan-favorite characters including Ice King, voiced by Tom Kenny; Princess Bubblegum, voiced by Hynden Walch; Marceline, voiced by Olivia Olson; and BMO, voiced by Niki Yang.

“With its wit, originality and unpredictability, Adventure Time has always been quintessential Cartoon Network,” Warner Bros. Discovery GM, International Kids, Animation and Franchise Vanessa Brookman said. “In Side Quests, Nate and the team have crafted the perfect entry point for new audiences discovering the Land of Ooo for the first time, while offering a heartfelt love letter to fans who have been on the extraordinary journey from the very beginning.”

“Making Side Quests felt like making the original Adventure Time, which felt like hanging out with art school buddies making professional cartoons,” showrunner and executive producer Cash said. “That sounds like a big sandwich of feelings, and it was! You’re going to love these NEW adventures with Finn & Jake!”
