Head of technical direction and production technologies Éloi Champagne will participate in a Real-Time Live! Session, and will sit down with filmmaker Amanda Strong to discuss ‘Inkwo for When the Starving Return;’ Jo Roy’s ‘Corpus and the Wandering’ will screen as part of the Electronic Theater.
The National Film Board of Canada is headed to Vancouver for SIGGRAPH 2025. Éloi Champagne, Head of Technical Direction and Production Technologies at the NFB, will participate in the SIGGRAPH Real-Time Live! session “Painting with 3D Gaussian Splat Brushes” on August 12.
The showcase highlights how real-time technology is revolutionizing computer graphics and sparking new ideas across industries. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge, real-time applications during the live event.
In addition to the presentation, there will be a screening and in-person conversation with filmmaker Amanda Strong (Spotted Fawn Productions) and Champagne on the making of Inkwo for When the Starving Return on August 13. Jo Roy’s Corpus and the Wandering will also be featured in the Computer Animation Festival’s Electronic Theater screenings on August 11 and 13.
