The ‘go backer’ is missing in the land of memories… Bill Hader and Bowen Yang star in the animated adaptation of the famed, whimsical Dr. Seuss tale of a mischievous, annoying, and irreverent cat who just won’t leave, in theaters November 6; from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.
Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has just dropped the third Official Trailer for its upcoming animated comedy adventure – the studio’s first full-length feature film - The Cat in the Hat, set to hit theaters this November 6. And it seems things are getting out of hand!
The film, written and directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, stars Bill Hader (Barry) as The Cat, alongside Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (SNL), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows) and Paula Pell (Girls5eva).
The studio shares, “Meet the Cat in the Hat you don’t know! In the wonderfully whimsical tradition of Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat comes to the big screen in his animated theatrical feature film debut, an all-new, epic adventure with an edge, where mischief, magic and mayhem reign supreme. Doing what he does best, the Cat — voiced by Bill Hader — spreads joy to kids in his hilarious, signature and singularly irreverent way, transporting them and audiences on a fantastical journey through a world they’ve never seen before. It is the first in a planned Warner Bros. Pictures Animation series of Dr. Seuss films, and features an innovative combination of animation styles.”
The story finds the Cat on his toughest assignment yet for the I.I.I.I. (Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, LLC): to cheer Gabby and Sebastian, a pair of siblings struggling with their move to a new town. Known for taking things too far, this could be this agent of chaos’s last chance to prove himself...or lose his magical hat! And before you know it, he loses his “go backer” device and the trio must travel to the land of memories to find it!
