The new 8-episode season of Emmy winner Cirocco Dunlap’s adult animated comedy follows Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak - aliens, best friends, and intergalactically renowned surgeons - as they relish the fame recent success has brought them until a cyborg journalist starts digging a bit too deep into one of their pasts; streams May 27.

Out of the 3,900 films submitted from around 100 countries, 72 films from 33 countries were selected to compete: 36 in the Official category, 9 in the Off-Limits category, 17 in the Perspectives category, and 10 in the Young Audiences category.

The famed voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig will MC the March 15 ceremony that includes a star-studded set of presenters, performers and guests; a slew of artists and their animated shows have been nominated, including ‘I Am Groot,’ ‘Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,’ ‘Orion and the Dark,’ ‘ Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie,’ and ‘The Tiny Chef Show.’ 

In ‘Haunted Housewife,’ Detective Marvin Flute moves into a house haunted by a doting housewife, and things soon go awry when he invites everyone over for a party; new season debuts February 16th at 8:30pm ET/PT on FOX.

Chris Sanders and DreamWorks’ blockbuster feature led the festivities with wins in 9 categories, while Netflix and Riot Games’ fan-favorite series took home 7, in a fun but emotional ceremony dedicated to victims of January’s tragic fires and highlighted by several tributes to LA’s firefighting finest, a real-time fundraiser, and 2 building-clearing false fire alarms.

This marks the first hosting of the awards by the comedy duo, whose knowledge of VFX stems from being two identical humans; event set for February 11 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Best Animated Feature nominees ‘Inside Out 2,’ ‘Kung Fu Panda 4,’ ‘That Christmas,’ ‘The Wild Robot,’ ‘Ultraman: Rising,’ and ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ top the expansive list of category nominations; animation’s biggest awards ceremony is scheduled to return live on Saturday, February 8 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
